1-Year-Limited-Alldock-Warranty for US and Canadian customers

If there are any differences between this online Limited Warranty and the Limited Warranty included in the box with your product then this online Limited Warranty will supersede the terms of your in-the-box warranty.

This 1-Year-Limited-Alldock-Warranty applies only if you are a consumer and purchased your Alldock product (“Product”) in the United States or Canada.

What does this warranty cover and how long does it last? Alldock warrants that a new Product (including any ancillary parts that may be packaged with it) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with Alldock’s published user documentation for one year from the date of original retail purchase in its original packaging by you.

If a Product has been refurbished, Alldock warrants that the Product (including any ancillary parts that may be packaged with it) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with Alldock’s published user documentation for ninety days from the original date of retail purchase by you (these warranties are collectively referred to as our “Limited Warranty”).

What will Alldock do?  (THIS IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY) If a defect covered by this Limited Warranty arises and you return your Product during the Limited Warranty period (which is one year for new Products and ninety days for refurbished Products), Alldock will in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law repair your Product using new or refurbished parts, replace your Product with a new or refurbished Product functionally at least equivalent to yours, or accept the return of your Product in exchange for a refund of the purchase price you paid for your Product. If Alldock repairs or replaces your Product, the repaired or replaced Product will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period. All returned parts for which you have received a replacement will become the property of Alldock. Nothing in this Limited Warranty will reduce or otherwise affect your statutory rights in relation to your Product.

THE LIMITED WARRANTY WRITTEN ABOVE IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY ALLDOCK PROVIDES FOR YOUR PRODUCT, AND THE ABOVE REMEDY IS YOUR SOLE REMEDY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALLDOCK EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER STATUTORY OR IMPLIED, ARISING FROM COURSE OF CONDUCT OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING YOUR PRODUCT, EXCEPT THAT ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY ABOVE (EITHER ONE YEAR OR NINETY DAYS, DEPENDING ON WHETHER YOUR PRODUCT IS NEW OR REFURBISHED).

Some states, provinces or territories do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

What does this warranty not cover? This Limited Warranty is only valid and enforceable in locations where the Product is sold and will apply only if you purchased your Product from Alldock or its authorized resellers. This Limited Warranty only applies to hardware components (and not any software elements) of the Product, and this Limited Warranty does not apply to damage caused by: (1) normal wear and tear; (2) accidents; (3) misuse (including failure to follow product documentation); (4) neglect; (5) disassembly; (6) alterations; (7) servicing other than by Alldock-authorized technicians; and (8) external causes such as, but not limited to: water damage, exposure to sharp objects, exposure to excessive force, anomalies in the electrical current supplied to the Product, and extreme thermal or environmental conditions. This Limited Warranty does not guarantee that use of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free.

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALLDOCK AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY, “ALLDOCK PARTIES”) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY (WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OR FAILURE OF ANY WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE) FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PRODUCT OR THESE TERMS, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER OR NOT A ALLDOCK PARTY OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSSES ARISING. YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE ALLDOCK PARTIES’ TOTAL LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PRODUCT OR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID ALLDOCK FOR YOUR PRODUCT.

Some states, provinces or territories do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Limited-Alldock-Warranty for Australian and New Zealand customers

This warranty applies if you are a consumer and purchased your Alldock product (referred to as “Product”) in Australia or New Zealand.

Limited Warranty

If you purchased your Alldock Product in Australia, the following applies to your Product:

Your Product comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Product repaired or replaced if the Product fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. In addition to all applicable guarantees, Alldock offers this Limited Warranty.

If you purchased your Product in New Zealand, the following applies to your Product:

If you are entitled to the benefit of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Law. Where these guarantees operate and the problem with your Product cannot be fixed or is of "substantial character" within the meaning of the CGA, then you are entitled to a replacement or refund or compensation for any drop in the value of the Product. In addition to these remedies, you may claim for any reasonably foreseeable loss (other than loss or damage through reduction of value of the Product) that results from the initial problem. If the problem with your Product can be fixed, then you may either be entitled to have your Product repaired or replaced or, in certain circumstances, the purchase price of your Product refunded. In addition to any applicable guarantees, Alldock offers this Limited Warranty.

The following applies to Products purchased in Australia or New Zealand:

Alldock warrants that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use as described in the user guide for one year from the date of original purchase by you anywhere in Australia or New Zealand (“Limited Warranty”).

This Limited Warranty is only valid and enforceable in Australia and New Zealand and will apply only if you have purchased your Product from Alldock or its authorised resellers. This Limited Warranty only applies to hardware components of the Product and does not apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product documentation), neglect, disassembly, alterations and external causes, such as, but not limited to: water damage, exposure to sharp objects, exposure to excessive force, anomalies in the electrical current supplied to the Product, and extreme thermal or environmental conditions. This Limited Warranty does not guarantee that use of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free.

WARRANTY REMEDY FOR AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

If a defect arises and you return your  Product during the one-year Limited Warranty period, Alldock will replace your Product with a new or refurbished Product functionally at least equivalent to yours. If applicable, a Product presented for repair may be replaced by a refurbished Product of the same type rather than being repaired, and refurbished parts may be used to repair Products. If Alldock replaces the Product, the replaced Product will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period. All returned parts for which you have received a replacement will become the property of Alldock. Nothing in this Limited Warranty will reduce or otherwise affect your statutory rights in relation to the Product.

Safety and handling guidelines

WARNING: HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION; READ BEFORE USE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DISCOMFORT, PROPERTY DAMAGE, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE AND OTHER POTENTIAL HAZARDS

To avoid damaging your device, accessories or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below before using your Alldock.

Handling

Handle your Alldock with care. You may damage the device if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush or puncture it. Do not use an Alldock with a damaged enclosure. Using a damaged product may cause injury. Do not expose your Alldock to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating.  If your Alldock gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.  Alldock is designed to operate in a dry, indoor environment.

Your Alldock is designed to work in ambient temperatures between 0° and 35° C (32° to 95° F), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -20° and 60° C (-4° and 140° F). Do not leave your Alldock in places where the temperature may exceed 60° C (140° F), such as on a car dashboard or near a heating vent as this may damage the product or pose a potential risk of fire.  Keep your product away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If your device becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plugged in, move it to a cooler place, and do not use it until has cooled. Your Alldock is designed to work at an altitude of up to 6,560 ft (2,000 m).

Repair & service

Do not attempt to repair your Alldock yourself. Disassembling the device may cause injury to you or damage your device. Unauthorized repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the device and may affect your warranty coverage and regulatory authorizations.

Contact customer service and do not use your device if it isn’t working properly or has been damaged. For online help and support please send us an email to support @alldock. com (for US customers) and to support @alldock. de (for European customers).

Repairs by service providers other than Alldock may not involve the use of Apple genuine parts and may affect the safety and functionality of the device.

Powering your device

Be sure the power adapter and Alldock are well ventilated when in use. Using a damaged cable or power adapter can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to your Alldock or other property.  When powering the product, make sure the power adapter is plugged into a socket near the product and is easily accessible. Avoid powering the device in direct sunlight.

Only power your Alldock with the included power adapter and cable. Failure to do so can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories.

When disconnecting the power adapter from a power outlet, pull on the adapter, never on the cable.  Do not twist or pinch the cable, and do not force a connector into a port.

When using the wireless charger, remove metallic cases and avoid placing metallic foreign objects on the charger or the charging spot (for example, keys, coins, batteries, or jewelry), as they may become warm or interfere with charging.

Using an ultra-thick protective phone case or a case with a magnetic/iron plate is not recommended as it may affect the wireless charging function.

Prolonged heat exposure

Alldock generates heat during normal operation and comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. Avoid prolonged, direct or indirect skin contact when the device is in use because exposing skin to hot surfaces for a long period of time may cause discomfort or burns.

Keep your Alldock, the power adapter, and any wireless charger in a well-ventilated area when in use or charging. Take special care if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against the body.

Environmental restrictions

To prevent damage to your Alldock or internal circuits, do not use or store the device or its accessories in dusty, smoky, damp, or dirty environments, or near magnetic fields.  Keep it away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave your device inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 60° C (140° F), such as on a window sill, near a heating vent, or behind glass that is exposed to direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time.  This may damage Alldock and/or pose the risk of fire or explosion.

Care & cleaning

Unplug the product and power adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean Alldock and its accessories.

Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean the product or accessories.

Liquids and weather influences

Do not use the Alldock near sources of liquid such as drinks, oils, lotions, sinks, bathtubs and showers. Protect the Alldock from dampness and wet weather such as rain, snow and fog. Never connect or disconnect the Alldock or the power supply unit to or from an electrical outlet with wet hands.

If your device does get wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device to dry completely before plugging it in again. Do not attempt to dry your devices with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer.

Radio frequency interference

Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology (e.g. WiFi). Your Alldock is designed to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions but use of wireless devices can negatively affect other electronic equipment.

Medical device interference

Your Alldock uses radios and other components that emit electromagnetic fields, and also contains magnets near the speaker. These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. Always keep the Alldock and its power adapter at a safe distance away from the pacemaker or other implanted medical device. If you have questions about using your Alldock with or near your pacemaker or other implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before using your product. If you suspect your product is interfering with your pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, turn off your device and consult your physician for information specific to your medical device.
